Heavyweight Linen Fabric for Home Décor
Thick linen fabric, ideal for home décor applications such as table runners, cushion covers, and bags. Pre-washing is recommended before cutting to prevent shrinkage and enhance texture.
This fabric is hypoallergenic, antibacterial, and resistant to mould. It can be hand-painted using textile paints – for example, a poppy flower motif on a linen bag (see photo for inspiration).
IDEA: No-sew napkins or table runners can be created by fraying both ends of the fabric (simply pulling out the threads), then washing it at a high temperature. After laundering, the fabric develops a slightly crinkled texture, which enhances its rustic appearance. Expect approximately 10% shrinkage.
Certified according to the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, an international testing and certification system for textiles since 1992, guaranteeing the material is made exclusively from substances that are safe for human health.
